About Love & Impact

To have everyone in the world have a life changing personal encounter with Jesus, simply through who we are, within our own spheres of influence, or in other words, through our lifestyle. This is the dream of Ludwig and Heike and what we as Love & Impact stand for.

What do we stand for?

We are a movement of people who, in following Jesus, show who He is for us and our environment every day. Driven by love, we want to leave a life-changing impact. Because everyone deserves a personal encounter with Jesus. (Mission) 

Love & Impact was founded by Ludwig and Heike Swinkels in 2010. They experience the calling to reach people with the gospel of Jesus and to mobilize followers of Jesus to be a witness to this, from a lifestyle. 

Our starting point is described in the Bible:  

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1” 

To have a lasting impact on our environment, so that cities and people flourish, we can be daily witnesses of Jesus through a lifestyle, in the way He created each of us.  

We mobilize the body of Christ by training people, coaching group leaders and cultivating community culture. These three pillars form the basis of the mission of Love & Impact and correspond to our various activities. The primary focus here is on witnessing Jesus from a daily lifestyle. Because to reach everyone, everyone is needed!

WHERE DO WE OPERATE FROM? 

The Love & Impact Foundation is an independent organization that moves and collaborates between different churches and denominations. Ludwig and Heike live as a family from gifts, in which their supporters provide monthly financial support. They experience a God-given calling on their lives to spread the gospel of Jesus by mobilizing people and churches. Ludwig is under the spiritual responsibility of the church 'De Bron' in Eindhoven. Ludwig and Heike's home church recognizes their ministry and supports them in this. In addition, they are supported by a number of independent advisors. Ludwig and Heike are also affiliated with the missionary organization Nehemiah, and the VPE.

From the desire to reach people together, as the body of Christ, with the gospel of Jesus, we gladly respond to the command given in Matthew 9:38: Pray therefore that the Lord would send out laborers into his harvest. The call to bring in the harvest is addressed to all of us. We therefore work together with followers of Jesus from various denominations, in which we enter into cooperation with churches to support them. We focus on the task of making disciples together and focus on this joint task regardless of personal or ecclesiastical views. 

We work from the conviction that God judges no one and calls us to look at everyone from Him and not at the natural person. We are driven by His love and recognize that we are different as followers of Jesus. We respect these mutual differences, without compromising our personal views and convictions. We reinforce the mutual unity by working together from God, in whom we are one, to reap His harvest together.

Intimate worship 

As a ministry, we want to love God above all else, both publicly and in our private lives. His heart is our highest priority. His love our motivation. His presence in our midst our reward. We serve as an expression of worship to Him.

Compassion for the lost

The Word of God  

We believe in the importance of reading and meditating on The Bible to encounter God and learn His ways, find guidance, and receive personal transformation. The Word of God is the source of infallible truth and authority over all things.

Prayer  

We believe in a two-way communication with God, the power of proclamation and supplication, born of our hearts and united with His heart. We follow the examples of prayer given in The Bible.

Unity  

We serve the church of God in this world, from Protestants, Charismatics, to Catholics. We believe in the unity of the body of Christ, gathering together to seek His presence, and focused on Jesus as God. There are no denominational divisions in Heaven, so we are focused on being a body of Christ here too.

Creativity  

We want to be innovative in our ways of reaching this generation with the gospel, to create new spaces for God to be seen in the marketplaces, our workplaces, our communities and on the streets. His glory, beauty and excellence are divinely connected and we want to make these characteristics visible everywhere we go.

Mobilization  

As a ministry, we have received a strong call from God to mobilize people and churches. It is our joy to train many powerful believers who will serve future generations with humility. To see churches grow and reach people and cities. We believe in the importance of the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit. We also believe in the power of transmission to pass on this commission to churches and leaders to take the gospel to the ends of the earth, so that everything that God has entrusted to us through Jesus continues to grow. To the honor and glory of His name.

The team

Founders

In 2010, Ludwig and his wife Heike founded the ministry ‘Crowns’ after they experienced a calling from God and Ludwig gave up his job with the police for this.

Later, the Love & Impact movement emerged from this. Ludwig, as director of this organization, provides daily leadership, with the goal of mobilizing everyone as a daily witness of Jesus. Heike plays a supporting role in this.

In order to be able to lead this ministry full-time, Ludwig and Heike, together with their three children, live from donations and are financially supported by their personal supporters. A future in which Christians of different denominations and from different congregations passionately follow Jesus and show who He is. We develop roadmaps, build infrastructures and mobilize everyone who wants to have an impact on their environment!
